7/29/2011 - LJ "Raise your guard"

Scripture:
2 Peter 3:18 "but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." (NASB)

Observation:
Peter write this letter to warn us of the false prophets, and false teaching. The actions of these will lead to. Hence, he write that we as servant of God will need to be knowledgeable of our Lord and his teachings and words to grow with wisdom and gracefully. We as Christan and servant of Lord should always bring glory to our God and this should come naturally for us day to day. We should make it so that its part of our daily habit until our final day on this earth, and be with our Savior for eternity. Peter also writes, to warn the dangers of false prophets and the actions that will lead to God's return.

Application:
This is Peter's guide line to the believers, to help ourselves in such sinful and alter motivated world. For us to raise our guards and we walk away or apart from those false prophets and false teaching, is to grow and sink our self into God's word and his grace. Continually growing in God's word, seeking and learning God's word will generate more and more desire to be like God and be more knowledgeable of God. I need to be consistent and make a habit of seeking and soaking myself into God's word. God's word is enriched with answers and examples of characters who have suffered and been through similar circumstance as I therefore, I can find peace and answers in God's word. I need to continue to pour my heart unto God's words and seek and find the guidelines to being a Christ-follower is about. What faithful and righteous servant should be like. Let God's grace work and flow within, allow God's spirit and angels work and stir me in the direction of more servantful and faithful servant.

Prayer:
Father God help me and continue to coach me to grow in the grace and knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ. May your knowledge lead me to serve you faithfully. Continue to feed me with your knowledge and grace, let you glorify the present moment.
